ArenaNet and NCSoft today announced that Guild Wars 2 will officially launch on Tuesday, August 28^th!

Guild Wars 2 will be a living breathing online world that challenges convention, that's designed for fun instead of grind, and that brings social interaction to a new level in an online world. Customers who pre-purchase will also receive 3-days early access, getting in on August 25th!

In addition to announcing the release date, NCSoft and ArenaNet also announced that the final Beta Weekend Event is planned for July 20-22, the only way to get access is to pre-purchase now!
