Picaroon is a free-to-play massively multi-player strategy game - Battle, alone or with allies, as a futuristic pirate fighting to control the land in a water-world apocalypse. Build massive fleets, sail the seas (watching out for whirlpools, giant squid and pirates!) and settle or conquer new islands. Deploy Special cards to sink entire fleets, erupt volcanoes or call up a lightning strike! Revel in a unique climactic finale where you receive rare technology from the Warlord Kingdoms in return for your tributes: beware the mammoth ships that appear out of nowhere alongside submarines launching ancient nuclear tipped missiles. Picaroon has strategies for all, builders, attackers, defenders and diplomats.
Play Picaroon either as an Massively Multiplayer RTS that can span weeks, or as a smaller, 1-4 hour intense skirmish. The choice is yours!
Classic Picaroon MMORTS
- Mode 1: Build up your home island. Place down buildings to mine and gather resources. Upgrade your buildings to unlock more advanced buildings. Balance your resources to keep your inhabitants from starving. Build boatyards to build fleets. Place defences on your islands to defend them against attacks from marauders.
- Mode 2: Play defensively or mount all out attacks, both approaches offer their own unique rewards. Expand onto uninhabited nearby islands. Sneak up on your enemy with airships and submarines. Form alliances against common foes. Break through enemy defences and take control of their islands
- Mode 3: Experience the climatic finale of the End Game where the warlords provide super weapons to create havoc.
Skirmish Picaroon an RTS game lasting between 1 and 4 hours
- Mode 4: You configure your own server including number of players, game duration, initial fleet setup, along with other settings to ensure that each game is just right. You can use specials earned from Classic Picaroon as well as ones that can be purchased with Doubloons from the Picaroon shop. For good measure, there are a number of customised "Skirmish specials" that help speed things along so that fleets of destruction are roaming the oceans right from the outset.
